Westralia Square 2, known as WS2, is the first high rise timber office building in Perth and the Perth CBD's first cross laminated timber office building. It was designed by Benson McCormack Architecture in collaboration with the West Perth practice Paterson Architects, and is held by GDI Property Group.
The premium grade building carries about 9,500 square metres of net lettable area over 11 floors of office space, and was designed to achieve a 5 Star NABERS Energy rating and a 5 Star Green Star rating.
It was built on the existing Westralia Square site, on top of the multi level car park already there, which is the unusual part: rather than demolishing and starting again, the timber structure was light enough to be added above what was standing. Savills moved its Perth headquarters into the building in 2023. Liberty Flexible Workspaces runs the serviced offices we list here.
