Built in 1987 as Telstra House, now a 117-metre Quintessential building of about 24,000 square metres.
Completed in 1987 and built by Hansen Yuncken, 30 Pirie Street was known for most of its life as Telstra House. Telstra left in August 2023 and Quintessential, which bought the building in December 2022 for $73 million, has been repositioning it since.
It stands 117 metres to its architectural top and 104 metres to the roof, with about 24,000 square metres of net lettable area on floorplates near 1,000 square metres. BDO Australia is the naming-rights anchor tenant.
Two figures are unsettled and so are not stated here. Wikipedia counts 23 floors while the project financier describes a 26-storey tower, and the refurbishment is dated to 2019 in one source and late 2024 in another, which may be two separate programmes rather than a contradiction.
