Building overview

The benchmark for Melbourne prestige

For nearly four decades the Rialto has defined the west end of Collins Street — a gold-glass twin-tower that was, for years, the tallest office building in the Southern Hemisphere.

Completed in 1986 and developed by Grollo Australia, the Rialto rises 251 metres over 525 Collins Street. Its distinctive bronze-tinted, faceted glass curtain wall — designed by Gerard de Preu & Partners with Perrott Lyon Mathieson — steps back in a series of angled setbacks, and the taller South Tower carries 55 office floors above a retail-arcade podium linking through to the heritage Rialto and Winfield buildings.

Owned by the Dexus Wholesale Property Fund and GIC and managed by Knight Frank, the Rialto is a Premium-grade, Climate Active–registered tower. Spaces operates a flexible serviced-office centre in the building — enquire through Sidespace for a serviced office now, or ask our concierge about whole-floor and fitted-suite options in the tower.
