Building overview

A grade tower beside Martin Place and City Recital Hall

Angel Place is a 35 storey, 152 metre A grade tower at 123 Pitt Street, built alongside City Recital Hall just north of Martin Place.

Angel Place was designed by Peddle Thorp & Walker and completed in 2000 for AMP, together with the 1,200 seat City Recital Hall in the same complex. Its sloping roof comes from planning rules protecting sunlight into Martin Place, which cut a proposed 43 level tower down to 35.

The building offers about 47,435 square metres of net lettable area over 30 office levels and holds a 5.5 star NABERS Energy rating and a 5 star NABERS Water rating. It is owned by the Mirvac Wholesale Office Fund, the former AMP Capital Wholesale Office Fund, whose investors moved the fund to Mirvac in 2022.

A 2,500 square metre lobby and terrace upgrade designed by Hassell, including The Foundry lounge, won a 2020 Master Builders NSW refurbishment award, and a facade recladding was completed in March 2025. Perpetual, Urbis, WTW and Macquarie University are among the tenants, and The Executive Centre offers workspace on level 17.
